The Mudheads turn 50 this year.

Sixty boats on a Wednesday night. A committee boat with a name. Fifty years of silverware.

Then the boats come out, and there is nothing to do until April.

That is where we come in.

We are a radio sailing club forming at Mystic Seaport. Our committee boat is a folding chair. Our fleet is nine people and an unresolved argument about DF95 versus IOM. Our season does not stop, because our boats fit in a back seat.

Someone will hand you a transmitter, and you will find out that fifty years of keelboat experience is worth roughly nothing for the first ten minutes.
