Boat for sale: 1986 C&C 27 Mark V

$12,500/obo

CONTACT:  [email protected]

HideAway is a carefully maintained, and very completely equipped, example of one of C&C’s most successful models.

The boat has been owned since 2002 by experienced owners who have continuously upgraded virtually every aspect of the boat. The custom mainsail and 155% furling genoa were designed and built by Clarke Bassett, who also designed, and built, Dennis Connor’s sails for Stars & Stripes. The boat features a complete suite of electronics, as well as numerous bits of advanced hardware and gear for better, and easier, boat handling.

The 9.9 hp high-thrust XL shaft, Yamaha outboard is brand new in 2024.

The boat purchase also includes a 2002, 8.5 foot Portabote dinghy that is as tough as nails, and a 2019, 3.5 hp 4-stroke Tohatsu motor that has been completely reliable, and gets the dinghy up on plane with one person aboard.

The equipment list is long, but there may be a few items that are on the boat, but did not make the list! The boat is available, and ready to sail away TODAY.

SEEKING SAILING FRIENDS

I sail 4 or 5 times a week.  If it is a nice day and the wind is up I’m going sailing. While my boat is easy to handle and I can and do single hand it, I would rather have company when I sail. If you enjoy sailing and would like to experience sailing on a really great  boat contact Tom Doyle at 860 912 3050.

Bagatelle is for sale

L. Francis designed a number of boats he called Maine day boats. Aramenta and Quite Tune were a couple. Big day sailors with enough accommodations to be comfortable. If a day sail was just too good to turn back you could keep on going, drop the hook overnight and return the next day or next week. I like that concept.
Bagatelle was designed with this in mind. An easy to handle day sailor, a not too serious racer, and an occasional cruiser.
Cold molded hull, foam cored plywood deck, foam cored fiberglass cockpit and deck house, fractional carbon B&R rig, self tacking jib, stainless steel keel fin with lead bulb. The keel has a trim tab and dagger board. J

ib is roller furled and the main is roller furled on the boom. Get underway in 10 minutes and put away in 10 minutes.
